Men’s recruiting needs for 2015
From year to year, the needs of every college program can change greatly. Now that the 2014 classes have pretty much taken shape, here is an early look at the 2015 classes and what some of the best men’s programs are looking for to fill out the roster next year.
Note: The roster projection for each team is based off either announced recruits or the recruiting class based on verbal commitments known to TopDrawerSoccer.com. In no way did any program contribute or endorse this list.
2014 Roster Breakdown
Goalkeepers (4): Three juniors, senior
Defenders (8): Three freshmen, two sophomores, junior, two seniors
Midfielders (11): Two freshmen, four sophomores, four juniors, senior
Forwards (8): Three freshmen, three sophomores, junior, senior
2015 recruits: Three defenders, midfielder, two forwards
The Bruins are likely going to be in need of a goalkeeper in the coming years, but there is not a massive want at any position for a deep UCLA squad. There is always the possibility that players leave the program early for professional opportunities as well.

Defenders (7): Freshman, two sophomores, four juniors
Midfielders (15): Two freshmen, Six sophomores, five juniors, two seniors
Forwards (2): Freshman, senior
2015 recruits: Goalkeeper, midfielder
The Jays will likely need to address the situation at forward in the coming recruiting class as the talent incoming target forward Ricardo Lopez-Espin could use a partner with some speed to really terrorize the Big East.
