FORWARDS

Lucas Altman, Science Hill (Johnson City, Tenn.), Sr.
 
The two-time Gatorade state player of the year, Altman topped 30 goals and had nearly 20 assists, leading Science Hill to a No. 12 ranking in Tennessee. The Wofford signee had nearly 70 career goals while helping Science Hill into the national rankings for the first time in school history. 
 
Lucas Mendes, Washington-Lee (Arlington, Va.), Sr. 

Mendes was named The Washington Post Spring Player of the Year after helping Washington-Lee to a first-ever state title. The University of Virginia commit left DC United's academy team for the spring season to return to high school play. He scored 21 goals with 12 assists while facing several of the state's top programs. Mendes recently was called into the U.S. Men's Under-20 National Team camp. 
 
Garrett McLaughlin, Heritage Hall (Oklahoma City, Okla.), Sr.
 
McLaughlin netted 36 goals with 17 assists as Heritage Hall went 17-0, won a state title and finished No. 3 in the SIMA FAB 50. The SMU signee was named The Oklahoman Player of the Year for the second straight season. Over the past two seasons McLaughlin scored 66 goals and had 34 assists in 34 total matches.
 
JJ Williams, Alabama Christian (Montgomery, Ala.), Sr. 
 
Williams netted a staggering 65 goals this past spring to up his career total to 120. He also added 20 assists. The Kentucky signee is a two-time Super All-State first-team selection. His goal production this past spring was the second highest ever in Alabama single-season history. Williams spent the later part of the spring with the Birmingham Hammers in the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL), where he scored one goal while starting several of the team's matches.
 
MIDFIELDERS
 
Jonothan Creel, CAK (Knoxville, Tenn.), Sr.
 
Creel scored 39 goals and had 23 assists, leading Christian Academy of Knoxville to a 21-2-1 season and a Class AA state title. The Davidson signee ended his career with 111 goals. He as named to the Knoxville Force roster for the National Professional Soccer League's sign season. 
 
Aidan Dayton, Maple Mountain (Spanish Fork, Utah), Jr.
 
Playing a defensive midfielder role, Dayton piled up nine goals and 16 assists while helping Maple Mountain to a 19-1 season, a state title and a first-ever SIMA FAB 50 national ranking. The Utah Valley University commit was named The Dessert News Mr. Soccer for 2016. Although he is a junior, this might be Dayton's final high school season as he plans to graduate early, going on an LDS mission before entering college. Dayton is a US Youth Soccer Region IV performer and previously played with Real Salt Lake's academy team.
 
Hunter Holstad, Oak Mountain (Birmingham, Ala.), Sr.
 
Holstad scored 18 goals and added 16 assists, leading Oak Mountain to an undefeated season and a SIMA FAB 50 No. 1 ranking. Holstad, like fellow Alabama standout JJ Williams, were part of the Birmingham Hammers' National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) roster this past season, which is a league of mostly active college players and aspiring professionals. Holstad signed with Navy
 
Marcelo Malpartida, River Bluff (Lexington, S.C.), Jr. 
 
Malpartida dished out 25 assists while helping River Bluff to a 24-1 season and a state title for the 3-year-old school. The junior has committed to the College of Charleston. His only goal of the season was the difference in River Bluff's 1-0 win over previously undefeated Wando in the Lower State semifinals, which serves as the state quarterfinal match. The win avenged the team's only loss of the season. Malpartida has been invited to be part of Peru's Under-20 National Team player pool.
 
Peyton McKnatt, Germantown Houston (Germantown, Tenn.), Sr.

McKnatt was a two-time Memphis Commerical Appeal Boys Soccer Player of the Year honoree. The Memphis commit had 23 goals and 16 assists while leading Houston to an 18-2-2 season and a SIMA FAB 50 Top 25 finish. 
 
DEFENDERS
 
Lamar Batista, Heritage Hall (Oklahoma City, Okla.), Sr.
 
Batista, the top defender in Oklahmoa, was named to The Oklahoman's first team for the second straight year. While Garrett McLaughlin proved the offensive spark, US Santa Barbara(m) signee Batista anchored a defense that had a goals against average below 1.00 en route to a perfect season.
 
Will Emerson, Montgomery Bell Academy (Nashville, Tenn.), Sr.
 
Emerson returns to the Spring All-America first team for the second straight year. The Yale signee scored five goals and added three assists while anchoring a defense for MBA, which went 10-2-3 and finished as the private school state runner-up. 
 
GOALKEEPER
 
Colin Shutler, Briar Woods (Ashburn, Va.), Sr.
 
Shutler was named The Washington Post first-team goalkeeper for spring-playing schools. The Virginia signee recorded shutouts in half of his matches this past spring. Shutler is the US Youth Soccer ODP Region I keeper. 
 
 
Coach of the Year
 
Phil Savitz, River Bluff (Lexington, S.C.)
 
On the very field on which he earned his legendary coaching status, Savitz added to his legacy as River Bluff routed Clover 5-0 in the Class AAAA state final. Savitz won 634 matches with 14 state titles at Irmo High School. In 2013, he left Irmo to start River Bluff's program and in three years built a new state powerhouse. The final, played at Irmo's W.C. Hawkins Stadium, marked state title No. 15 for Savitz and it was his 66th win at River Bluff, giving him an even 700 for his storied career. He is one of only seven coaches to ever reach the 700-win mark.
