Titles up for grabs at NorCal NPL Showcase
The NorCal NPL Spring College Showcase kicks off in Turlock this weekend, bringing together the U15-U19 NorCal NPL Girls teams, to compete in league games in front of College Coaches and PDP scouts. Currently over 50 college coaches are registered to attend the event or watch games online at CoachesAid.com.
For Girls NorCal NPL teams, the showcase games mark an exciting conclusion to the NorCal NPL Winter Season or the start of the NorCal NPL Spring season.

Here is a preview for each of the U15-U19 NorCal NPL divisions participating in the Girls Spring Showcase:
U15
Davis Legacy SC needs one win out of their remaining two games to clinch the NorCal NPL Winter Title. Davis is led by NorCal NPL leading scorer Mia Root who has scored an 32 NPL goals during this year's NorCal NPL. Placer United is currently sitting on 15 points and in second place.
The U15 Girls Premier 1 Spring Division kicks off this weekend, with AJAX East Bay Spring season as the favorites after finishing in 3rd place in the NorCal NPL Fall Division.
A wide-open U15 Girls Premier 2 Spring Division also begins Saturday at the NorCal NPL Spring Showcase. In a division with no clear favorite, it is unlikely the Champion will be determined until the final weeks.
U16
Placer United Red sits comfortably in first place with 13 points in the U16 Girls Premier 1 Winter Division. Placer United will clinch the Winter title with a win or draw in their final match on Sunday against Ajax United Elite.
There is plenty of talent in the Girls Premier spring 1 with teams such as Sporting Clara white, Juventus SC Zebre (5th place Fall 1), Diablo FC (8th place Fall 1), Santa Clara Sporting Green (1st Place Fall 2), CCSA Black (2nd Place Fall 2), Lamorinda United (3rd place Fall 2), and SCC Breakers White (1st Place Fall 3) all coming up against each other.
The Spring Premier 2 division is made up of the teams finishing in the bottom half of the Fall Premier 2 league and teams from the Fall Premier 3 league. The teams in the division include De Anza Force Blue (5th place Fall 2), California Odyssey Red (6th place Fall 2), Impact Konfusion (7th place Fall 2), Pleasanton Rage Premier (8th place Fall 2), Castro Valley United Green (9th place Fall 2), Juventus SC Lightning (3rd place Fall 3), and ACC Mavericks United (4th place Fall 3).
U17
The U17 Girls Premier 1 Winter Division concludes this weekend with Marin FC Blue on twelve points, sits three points clear of 2nd place American River FC Freedom. The teams meet in a crucial match on Saturday afternoon with Marin FC Blue able to clinch the Winter title with a win or draw.
The opening game of the Premier 1 spring divisions will see the defending NorCal State Cup Champions Juventus SC Avanza, will be looking to improve on their 2nd place finish in the NorCal NPL Fall League.
All six teams in the U17 Girls Premier 2 Spring division should be contenders to win the Spring division title
U19
The U19 Girls Premier 1 Winter Division title will be determined this weekend. Placer United Red enters the weekend in 1st place on 15 points but AJAX United Elite (12 points) can take-over first place if they win the head-to-head meeting on Saturday morning
The premier 1 spring division sees Six teams return to the State Premier 1 division.
