The U.S. U17 Women’s National Team wrapped up the 2016 NTC Invitational on Monday with a 2-1 win over Japan, which clinched the third straight NTC title for the U17s. The squad now turns its attention to the upcoming 2016 U17 CONCACAF Championship in Grenada.
After failing to qualify for the 2014 U17 World Cup, the U.S. has a chip on its shoulder at this qualifying event. Head coach B.J. Snow has had the past two seasons to sculpt the group and prepare them for the upcoming challenges at the CONCACAF Championship.
Snow chatted with TopDrawerSoccer after the game on Monday about the success at the NTC Invitational, improving player development in the U.S., and expectations for this group in the future.
