DePaul Blanks Saint Louis, 4-0
ST. LOUIS – DePaul took the lead in the 29th minute and added three second-half goals to defeat Saint Louis 4-0 in women’s soccer non-conference action Sunday afternoon at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.
Elise Wyatt scored the first of two goals, unassisted, at the 28:37 mark. The Blue Demons (1-1) led 1-0 at intermission despite being out-shot 10-8 by Saint Louis (1-1).
Ashleigh Goddard, assisted by Natasa Radosavljevic, made it 2-0 at 47:30. DePaul increased the lead to 3-0 with an own goal at 54:33, and Wyatt, assisted by Ana Greik, netted the final tally at 65:24.
SLU’s Jenny Hummert fired a game-high four shots, while Kirsten Clemens registered three. Hummert and Clemens recorded two shots on goal apiece, tying for game-high honors.
Alejandria Godinez made six saves for DePaul.
Saint Louis returns to action Friday, Aug. 30, at Arkansas. Game time is 7 p.m.
