BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh head coach Dean Koski has announced the addition of seven student-athletes who will join the men's soccer program in the fall.
 
"We are pleased to announce our incoming recruiting class and welcome them to the Lehigh Soccer family," said Koski. "This group of young men represents a comprehensive and thoughtful recruiting process that evolved over the past two years and we are extremely pleased with the end result.  Seven uniquely talented players from six different states (Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Texas, Massachusetts, Michigan) complete our class and afford us more depth and more competition within our team.  We look forward to welcoming them to our campus during our pre-season in August."
 
Below are the seven new additions to the Lehigh men's soccer program:
 
Ben Bates- Sarasota, Fla. – Riverview High School - Chargers Academy – Midfield/Forward
A Lehigh legacy, Ben is a fast and dynamic wide player. Good 1v1 abilities and can deliver a cross with both feet. He is capable of playing on either side or up front. Ben will bring great pace and attitude to run at defenders with an ability to score goals.  Ben is a three-star rated recruit on Top Drawer Soccer.
 
Calum Bishop- Lake Forest, Ill. – Lake Forest Academy  – Chicago Magic Academy – Defender
Calum brings great experience to the team as an outside back. He has played in youth national team camps while most recently playing on one of the top academy teams in the country. He is a tough defender with great understanding of the position and the ability to deliver a great pass.  Calum is a four-star rated recruit on Top Drawer Soccer.
 
Mark Forrest- Douglassville, Pa. –The Hill School – Lehigh Valley United – Forward/Midfielder
Mark is very familiar to Lehigh and the only local player in the class. He is a versatile attacking player, capable of playing a number of positions. His 6'3 frame allows him to play with his back to goal and hold off defenders, while his soccer IQ and composure help him to create for others and score goals himself. He helped lead his team to two consecutive PAISAA State Championships in 2013 and 2014.
 
Alex Greene- Flower Mound, Tex. – Flower Mound High School - Solar Chelsea Academy – Midfielder
Alex is a very talented distributing midfielder. He has great composure with the ball and ability to combine with his teammates, but also able to get himself out of pressure.  He is a quick, dynamic player who can play centrally or wide in midfield.  Alex is a four-star rated recruit as well as the 94th-ranked player in the Class of 2015 on Top Drawer Soccer. Alex be joining his twin brother Oscar at Lehigh in the fall.
 
Oscar Greene- Flower Mound, Tex. – Flower Mound High School - Solar Chelsea Academy – Defender/Midfielder
Oscar is similar to his brother in that he brings a confidence and composure with the ball. He is able to pick out a pass and keep possession very effectively. Oscar brings great quickness, tenacity and tackling ability. He can play as an outside defender or in the midfield.  Oscar is a four-star rated recruit as well as the 97th-ranked player in the Class of 2015 on Top Drawer Soccer.
 
Matt Morana- Shrewsbury, Mass. – Shrewsbury High School – New England Revolution Academy – Defender
Matt is a mature and confident defender.  He makes good decisions with the ball and is very consistent.  He has a great soccer IQ with ability to tackle and break up plays.  Can play anywhere along the backline and will bring great leadership qualities to the team. Plays on a top MLS affiliated academy and captains his team.
 
Donovan Perayeff- Troy, Mich. – Athens High School – Vardar Academy – Forward
Donovan is a hard working forward. He understands the position very well on both sides of the ball. He is good with his back to goal and makes intelligent runs. He is a technical attacker and a natural finisher in and around the box. Donovan plays on a top Vardar team in the Academy League.
