Justin Davis finished off a quick combination with teammate Michael Green with an 83rd-minute strike from the top of the box to give New Mexico a 2-1 victory over visiting Stanford in a nonconference men's soccer match Friday night. It was the seventh one-goal loss for Stanford (3-8-2).

 

Senior midfielder Tom Montgomery got Stanford off to a 1-0 lead with a low shot in the 29th minute, but New Mexico answered back on a full volley by reserve P.J. Wilson just six minutes later.
