HS: Montverde, McCarthy again region No. 1
To sum up this week's rankings -- a little bit of state shakeup, but not much more.
The 14 state No. 1s all held their ranking with a combined 30-0 showing last week. Although the state No. 1s held their position, there were two regional No. 1 swaps. Montverde Academy (Fla.) returns to the top of the Florida-North boys ranking following a loss by Mandarin (Fla.). Also returning to the top spot, Archbishop McCarthy (Fla.) is back at No. 1 in the Florida-South girls rankings.
The state No. 1s are Sunnyside (Ariz.), Montgomery (Calif.), Doral Academy (Fla.), Punahou (Hawaii), St. Paul's (La.), Northwest Rankin (Miss.) and San Antonio LEE (Texas) for boys and Hamilton (Ariz.), Monte Vista (Calif.), Montverde Academy (Fla.), Kamehameha-Kapalama (Hawaii), Northshore (La.), Gulfport (Miss.) and Coppell (Texas) for girls.
