The final TopDrawerSoccer Unsigned Showcase of 2015 touched down in Los Angeles. Coaches from all over the state and from a range of divisions had a chance to see some of the aspiring college players on display.

Below is a look at the boys Best XI from the event.

TDS Combine Los Angeles Boys Best XI:

D Thatcher Cooper, Sereno SC (2019): Cooper reads the game well and stepped up to win possession on numerous occasions. He communicated with the back line and organized its shape extremely well. He has a good first touch and passed well out of the back – simple and effective.

D Stewart Hunter, LA Galaxy (2016): Hunter showed maturity in his decision making on and off the ball at the back. He cleared the ball well under pressure and passed smartly when he had a little more time. Strong and powerful in the air, he won the majority of aerial challenges.

D Ryan Ruvalcaba, West Coast FC (2017): Ruvalcaba is a full back that likes to get forward – scoring two good goals, one of which was a first time finish from 25 yards out, during full field games. He provides good width and movement out wide and took his space well. Defensively he was strong into 1v1 challenges and showed good stamina to get up and down the field.

D Skyler Smith, West Coast FC (2020): Smith was one of the top technical players at the showcase. Neat passer and dribbler with a sharp first touch, he looked well-polished in possession. He has a great soccer IQ for his age, allowing him to make good decisions on and off the ball. Tactically superior throughout the day and athletically in a good spot – he has a great change of pace.

M Grant Fidler, Central California Aztecs (2017): Fidler is a midfielder who likes to control the tempo of the game and keep the ball moving. He kept things simple but chose good moments to switch the field, showcasing his vision and good execution under pressure.

M Alexi Jaimes, Inter FC (UT) (2015): Jaimes has good speed and had good dynamic movement in the middle of the park. Much like the other midfielders in the Best XI, Jaimes is technically sharp and moved the ball well.

M Giovane Lobo, Real So Cal (2016): Lobo is a smart and alert player and his technical ability is his biggest asset. He looks so natural and comfortable on the ball, breaking out of the middle creating opportunities and also holding deep keeping the ball moving. He was the most consistent passer when under pressure. He is constantly checking over his shoulder, always aware of who is around him.

M Kian Meyer, Albion SC (2017): Meyer has fantastic movement off the ball, dangerous and dynamic, he was exciting to watch. Athletically he has good speed and strength and used this to his advantage dribbling in the attacking third.

F Nicholas Aguirre, Fullerton Rangers (2018): Aguirre showed a fantastic work rate up top, closing down defenders and working hard to win the ball back in dangerous areas. He has the ability to run at defenders and cause trouble and also showed good composure dropping deeper and feeding through balls to the point forward.

F Angelo Deloso-Flocco, Maui United (2018): Deloso-Flocco was the showcase stand out player. Technically very good, he glides past defenders, sees the game well and was the key player in every game. Smaller, strong and creative, Angelo looked silva-esque in the final third. He scored some top goals and was constantly involved.

F Angel Ramirez: Ramirez had good movement up top, finding gaps in behind and getting on the end of some good through balls. Like the other two forwards he has a great work rate and constantly worked to create chances out of nothing. Technically good and athletically very sharp.
