2019 Boys Regional Rankings update
The boys regional rankings for the class of 2019 were revealed on Thursday. The regional rankings reflect the best players from each section of the United States. The list is compiled with the help of scouts and coaches from every corner of the country.
With the input of many experts, TopDrawerSoccer ranks the players for the region and updates each section three times per season. This latest update reflects the winter 2017 period. The next update will come in the spring.
For this update, there were plenty of players who moved up the rankings after strong starts to the 2016/2017 club soccer and high school soccer seasons. In Texas, Jesus Ferreira, the recent FC Dallas Homegrown signing, jumped into the top spot in the region in this update. Aidan O’Toole, a standout for Lonestar, also jumped up in the regional rankings.
In the Great Lakes region, Karsen Henderlong made a big move in the rankings. The Indiana Fire standout was not ranked in the last update, but he checks in at No. 5 in the winter update. Henderlong is enjoying a tremendous season in the Development Academy.
In Southern California, Santa Barbara Soccer Club and U.S. U16 Boys National Team center back Julian Araujo jumps in at No. 4 after previously not making the list. Leonardo Sepulveda and John Pulskamp also moved up the list in the latest update in that region.
