2022 DI Men’s Recruiting Rankings: July

The latest men’s Division I recruiting class rankings are out for the month of July, looking at the Top 45 additions for the class of 2022.
With preseason just a few weeks away, the final rankings will be released in August, when rosters are updated and double-checked. The rankings focuses mainly on domestic additions and transfers, though international players are taken into account to a smaller extent.

1. San Diego State* (1)
Commitments: D Tristan Viviani (San Jose Earthquakes – No. 33), F Austin Brummett (New York Red Bulls – No. 35), M Ty Reynolds (FC Dallas – No. 57), F Calvin Fodrey (San Diego Loyal – No. 73), F Berin Droemer (Solar SC – No. 84), M Dylan Presto (LAFC – No. 87), GK Logan Erb (Houston Dynamo – No. 112), M Alex Borsos (Houston Dynamo – No. 119), M Javier Camargo (San Diego Loyal), M Reid Fisher (Slammers FC), M Lorenzo Hernandez (De Anza Force SC)
With eight players ranked in the Top 200, it’s an impressive group on paper. None have signed pro (yet) and it will be interesting to see how things flesh out in the field this fall.
2. Wake Forest* (2)
Commitments: D Cooper Flax (NYCFC – No. 23), D Vladimir Walent (Colorado Rapids – No. 47), D Samuel Jones (Philadelphia Union – No. 53), F Nicholas Rabiu (New York Red Bulls – No. 121), GK Devin Armstrong (Tampa Bay United Rowdies), M Alec Kenison (Columbus Crew SC), M Aethan Yohannes (AZ Alkmaar)
Transfers: F Sidney Paris (Navy)
It’s a very well-rounded class for the Demon Deacons, with additional depth coming in up and down the field.
3. Notre Dame* (3)
Commitments: D Mitch Ferguson (Portland Timbers Academy – No. 41), F Wyatt Borso (Pittsburgh Riverhounds – No. 54), M Daniel Boateng (Santa Barbara SC – No. 74), M Kelvin Baffour (Black Rock FC – No. 79), M Sebastian Green (Black Rock FC), F Nicholas Legendre (Colorado Rapids)
The Irish recently confirmed this class, which adds quality from around the country. It will be needed with several standouts departing for the pro ranks.
