Called into a U.S. U16 camp this year, versatility is a lynchpin to Mark McKenzie’s on-field success. The Philadelphia Union Academy player is set to join current club teammate Matthew Real in Winston-Salem after pledging to join the same ACC program.
“I committed to Wake Forest because I felt as if this university fit the kind of person I am,” he told TopDrawerSoccer. “Their goals and aspirations did not only match my personality on the field, but went in hand-in-hand with the kind of person I am off the field, both in the classroom and in the community. Following my visit, and deep discussion with my family, I could see myself spending my college years at Wake Forest.”
