U19 Gordon Jago Super Group Final
SAF Botafogo (BRA) vs. Philadelphia Union (USA)

The final match of the 2026 Dallas Cup presented by Coca-Cola featured defending champions SAF Botafogo and MLS academy side Philadelphia Union squaring off in the Gordon Jago Super Group Final.

The Brazilian side got off to a quick start in the 10th minute, as Samuel Alves broke in behind the Union back line and calmly finished to open the scoring. It marked his third goal in as many matches and gave Botafogo an early 1-0 lead.

Shortly into the second half, the defending champions doubled their advantage. A well-worked sequence at the top of the box led to Ivan Molina striking a beautiful half-volley in the 47th minute, extending the lead to 2-0.

With time running short for the MLS academy side, Philadelphia Union found a lifeline in the 78th minute, as Willyam Ferreira converted from the penalty spot. The opportunity came after Botafogo goalkeeper Matheus Lima was shown a yellow card for a challenge on a Union attacker moments earlier.

With the clock winding down, Philadelphia Union threw everything forward in a final push for an equalizer. In stoppage time, their moment arrived. Tyler Gladstone weaved his way into the box, showing impressive composure and patience before firing a shot past the Botafogo goalkeeper to level the match at 2-2 and send it to extra time.

Following two scoreless 10-minute periods of extra time, kicks from the penalty spot were required to determine a champion.

Philadelphia Union prevailed in a dramatic penalty shootout, 6-4, to capture the Gordon Jago Super Group title, becoming the first U.S.-based champion since FC Dallas’ triumph in 2017.

8:30 a.m. – Under 18 Boys Final
Steven Gerrard Academy (ENG) vs. Solar SC ECNL (TX)

The Under 18 boys final at Toyota Stadium featured a transatlantic matchup between England’s Steven Gerrard Academy and Solar SC ECNL.

On a beautiful North-Texas morning, Steven Gerrard Academy got off to a dream start. In just the 3rd minute, Harry Langley delivered a dangerous ball into the box that skipped through traffic and found Kaelum Cummings, who was in the right place to finish and give the English side an early 1-0 lead.

Nearing halftime, the side out of Liverpool struck again. A long throw into the box found Daniel Okpuno Martins, who flicked a header home in the 43rd minute to double the lead, as Steven Gerrard Academy carried a 2-0 advantage into the halftime.

Shortly after the break, Steven Gerrard Academy kept the pressure on, adding a third in the 50th minute as Kingston Arnasalam-Grant curled a superb strike into the top corner to make it 3-0.

Despite the three-goal deficit, Solar SC ECNL continued to push forward and began to chip away at the lead. In the 72nd minute, Trenton Powell found the back of the net from a crowded penalty area to cut the deficit to 3-1.

Solar struck again in the 80th minute, as a ball played into the box by Tyler Weoprasert was caught by the Steven Gerrard Academy goalkeeper, but the assistant referee signaled that the ball had crossed the goal line, cutting the deficit to 3-2.

Despite continued late pressure from the North Texas side, the equalizer never came. Steven Gerrard Academy held on for the 3-2 victory, hoisting the Under 18 Boys Boot & Ball trophy and becoming the first English champions at the Dallas Cup since 2017.

Under 19 Boys Final
Dallas Texans Academy ECNL (TX) vs. Everton Football College (ENG)

Following the Under 18 final, the Under 19 Boys title was decided in another international showdown, as Dallas Texans Academy ECNL faced England’s Everton Football College.

In the 14th minute, Everton Football College opened the scoring. Off a set piece, a long ball was sent into the box and initially cleared by the Texans defense, but the ball fell to John Lyon, who redirected it toward goal, where Niall Barrow was on hand to tap it in for the opening goal.

In the 40th minute, Everton Football College doubled their lead. Another long ball into the box was not fully dealt with, eventually falling to Roan Kuijt at the doorstep, where he stabbed home the second goal of the match.

On the stroke of halftime, Joshua Hughes added a third for Everton Football College. A long throw into the box was flicked on by Roan Kuijt into the path of the onrushing Hughes, who connected on a crafty volley to give the English side a 3-0 lead heading into halftime.

Much like the Under 18 final before, the local side began to surge in the second half.

In the 52nd minute, after receiving a ball over the top, Chris Garcia slammed on the brakes near the edge of the box and curled a shot just beyond the outstretched goalkeeper to get Dallas Texans on the board.

With the score at 3-1, the Texans pulled another back in the 75th minute, as Zach Alsahli unleashed a rocket from just beyond the box, driving it into the top right corner to make it 3-2.

Despite clawing their way back into the match, Dallas Texans Academy ECNL were unable to find an equalizer. The final whistle blew with Everton Football College securing a 3-2 victory to claim the Under 19 Boys Boot & Ball trophy as the second English champion of the day.
