The New York Red Bulls are bound for north of the border on Sunday for a matchup against the Montreal Impact Academy. The U18 meeting should be of particular note, as New York is 1-1-1 over its last three games, a struggle given the team’s relative success earlier in the year.

Chasing the Red Bulls – and above the Impact – is the New England Revolution, which welcomes New York affiliates Empire Revolution to Gillette Stadium on Saturday. New England is on a six game winning streak and has yet to lose in 2014, and Syracuse-recruit Daniel Apajee has scored in three straight games for the MLS side.

Further to the south, D.C. United hosts the Philadelphia Union, with Philly trailing D.C. by six points in the U18 division standings. Jorge Calix put in a two-goal shift over the weekend and is United’s danger man. The U16 encounter is equally as important, with United holding a six-point advantage in the Atlantic Division over the Union, who are still in playoff position.

Capital Area RailHawks Academy is hitting the road for Georgia, with a pair of games against Concorde Fire and Georgia United on the slate. Defense has been the strength for the U18s, as the RailHawks have the best goals against in the Southeast Division, with 29 goals conceded across 28 games.

The dynamic scoring duo from Carolina Rapids U18, Tanner Roberts (21 goals) and Davis Lozano (19), welcome Georgia United to town on Saturday for an important clash.

The DA Florida club in action will stay in state this weekend, with Orlando City hosting IMG Academy on Saturday, and Kendall meeting Weston FC on Sunday.

West

Only two games are left on the De Anza Force regular season schedule at this stage in the season, and the upcoming match against Real Salt Lake-AZ is a big one. The Force will make the trip out to Casa Grande for the matchup, as U18 forward Carlos Delgadillo will look to add to his 17-goal haul.

Looking to hold off LA Galaxy for second place in the U18 SoCal Division, Real So Cal is in action in a non-division game against San Juan Soccer Club. Carlos Gonzalez has surged up the scoring charts with four goals in his last four Dev. Academy outings, currently leading his club side with 14 from 20 games.

Central

Vardar is set to make a southern swing to the great state of Indiana, for a matchup against Indiana Fire Academy. It’s a matchup of contrasts, as Vardar U16s are looking to solidify its playoff chances, while the same can be said about the Indiana Fire U18s.

There’s a tasty encounter on Saturday in Texas, with FC Dallas going up against one of its numerous local rivals in the Dallas Texans. FCD U18s sputtered a bit in April, going winless in two games, and will no doubt look to maintain a comfortable lead in the Frontier Division standings. 

The road is calling again for Shattuck St. Mary’s, which has games against Sockers FC and FC Wisconsin Nationals on the schedule. Shattuck U18s played out a pair of interesting results last weekend, securing a pair of scoreless road draws. Minnesota Thunder will make an identical trip as Shattuck, playing FC Wisconsin and Sockers as well.

Chicago Magic PSG U16 is second in the Mid-America Division, with Kendall Stork’s 15 goals in 18 games leading the way. Both Magic sides will stop over in St. Louis for a meeting with St. Louis Scott Gallagher Metro. Marquette commit Luka Prpa has also been in good form for the Magic.

Chicago Fire will also be in the same vicinity, as the MLS Academy side heads into action against St. Louis Scott Gallagher Missouri side on Sunday.
