CARSON, California - FC Dallas and Atlanta United advanced to the Development Academy U15/U16 Championship on Sunday. FC Dallas defeated Real Salt Lake - Arizona 3-0 in the first semifinal on Friday from the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Southern California. Atlanta United beat Vancouver Whitecaps in the second game of the day.
The U17/U18 age group shared a common thread with teams making a comeback late in each game. Texans SC Houston scored in stoppage team and then won in a penalty kick shootout to knock off Colorado Rapids in the first semifinal. LA Galaxy bounced back from an 0-2 halftime deficit to snag a 3-2 win in overtime against Seattle Sounders. LA Galaxy takes on Texans SC Houston on Sunday in the Development Academy Championship.
