The girls finished pool play on Friday at ESPN’s Wide World of sports, and while some players are going home, others are just beginning to make a name for them self. Here are the top players from the games TopDrawerSoccer saw at the Disney Soccer Showcase.
GK Laurel Ivory, Sunrise Sting U16 (FL) – Ivory was brick wall that was always in the right place at the right time. She made save after save and had quite the boot on her.
D Lauren Lawrence, WAZA FC East Juniors U17 (MI) – Lawrence was solid on the back line of defense for her team and was a big reason her team walked away with a shutout victory. She had a boot that be felt up and down the field.
