"It was surprisingly a tight game throughout the match but we were able to wear them down and make it an easier contest in the second half," Solar Chelsea coach Diego Castro said. "The key was possessing the ball and making (Chargers SC) work for it by moving the ball quickly in the attacking third."
Nico Nee and Ryan Henry also scored for Solar Chelsea. Cavitt Bruhn played keeper in the first half and compiled four saves while Jackson Leavitt took over in the second, finishing with five saves.
Both teams battled throughout the first portion of the game without either scoring a goal until Jackson Castro was taken down in the box just after the 30th minute to set up a penalty kick. Nee easily converted the free kick with a placement into the upper right portion of the net.
After holding a 1-0 lead at halftime, Solar Chelsea increased the intensity in the second half and forced the action. Sparks scored 10 minutes into the half when he headed in a pass off a direct kick taken by Castro.
Sparks was the recipient of a perfectly placed through ball by Castro shortly thereafter and scored on a one-on-one play with the opposing keeper to put Solar Chelsea ahead 3-0.
Solar Chelsea plays Charlotte SA (NC) Friday to determine the final standings of the group before the playoff action begins for the U14 group.

Torres put Concorde on the board late in the first half when he headed in a ball assisted by Simon Ben-Moshe after Ben-Moshe flicked along a long direct kick from the team's own end.

Craft also noted the importance of George Ackling, the Texans' center midfielder, for his importance in setting up Priest on his goals and for stabilizing the defense after the Texans took the lead.
