ECNL Recap: Final go before Florida
U14
In the final U14 action of the 2014 season, Texas Rush edged a high-scoring affair against Challenge SC. Grace Morris had two goals, while Marissa Arias and Katherine Mueck also scored for the Rush. Allie Bird had two goals and an assist for Challenge SC, while Brooklyn Kuhns also scored for Challenge.
Damali Simon-Ponte scored the game-winning goal as PDA defeated East Meadow SC 1-0.
Hailey Davidson scored two goals and Maya McCutcheon added another as FC Dallas managed to secure the full points in a 3-2 win against area rivals Solar Chelsea SC.
The Dallas Sting edged a pair of 1-0 encounters, first getting past Albion Hurricanes FC, following that up with a 1-0 victory on Sunday against Lonestar SC.
U15
A goal and an assist from Olufolasade Adamolekun provided the offense for Lonestar SC in a 2-0 win against D’Feeters. Greace Greenly scored the other goal of the day. Lonestar drew 0-0 in the other game of the weekend against the Sting.
Kathryn Klingensmith, Nicole Payne and Giselle Washington score for Concorde Fire as they defeated Orlando City 3-2. Ansley Diamond scored the only goal in Concorde’s other game of the weekend, a 1-0 defeat of West Florida Flames.
Three goals from Jillian Wachira provided the platform for PDA’s 4-0 win against East Meadow SC. Amelia Paternoster scored the game’s fourth goal.
Courtney Walker’s hat trick was more than enough for Charlotte Soccer Academy as they defeated Gwinnett Soccer Association 4-0. Mary Elliott McCabe rounded out the scoring on the day. In their other game of the weekend, Charlotte drew 2-2, as Atlanta Fire tallies from Brooke Barrett and Reagan Smith canceled out goals from Charlotte’s Ashlynn Serepca and Courtney Walker.
Rebecca Crouch and Amy Thompson scored a goal each in a 2-1 win against Maryland United FC. Sarah Geilert tallied the consolation for United.
U16
A goal and an assist from Ciara Ostrander and Nicole Stryjek led Connecticut FC to a 2-1 win against FC Stars of Massachusetts. In its other game of the weekend, CFC won a 4-3 shoot out with Boston Breakers Academy. Ostrander had two more goals and an assist, Stryjek added another goal and assist, while Kaitlyn Sengphilom also scored for CFC. Eve Hewins bagged a brace and Kayla Nixon supplied Boston’s goals.
Cameron Murtha and Sofia Rebaudengo scored a goal each as Bethesda SC beat McLean Youth Soccer 2-1. Michelle Leung had McLean’s consolation. In the weekend’s other matchup, Bethesda SC topped FC Virginia 3-0 on Sunday.
Match Fit Academy's Jillian Jennings scored first goal of the game. Penn Fusions’ Gianna Yurchak scored on a pass from Allison Heckman with 5 minutes left in the first half to tie it up again in the second half unassisted to give Penn Fusion the lead. Jennings then scored unassisted, beating a Penn Fusion defender and sliding past the keeper to tie the game up. But Penn Fusion's Rachel Dorwart countered with GWG on an assist from Kailee Coonan to secure a 3-2 win.
It was a successful weekend for Indiana Fire Juniors, winning both games on home turf. Ryanne Brown, Alicia James and Alexandra Rice all found the back of the net in a 3-0 win against CASL on Saturday. Taylor Crowe, Danielle Hayden and Hope Van Wagner provided the goals in a 3-0 win on Sunday against NC Fusion.
Sage Digiulio scored the game’s lone goal as Colorado Rush beat the Storm 1-0. Civana Kuhlmann had the assist.
U17
Future North Carolina striker Emily Fox grabbed the game winner in FC Virginia’s 1-0 win against Maryland United FC. Fox also scored and assisted as FC Virginia beat Bethesda SC 4-0. Julia Phillips scored twice and setup another, while Zoe Boocock also scored.
Carolina Elite Soccer Academy secured a 2-0 win against Atlanta Fire, with Alexandra Soree and Marian Wolski providing the goals. In Sunday’s game with Gwinnett Soccer Association, Carolina won 1-0 on the strength of an Allyn Wiggins goal.

Meghan Kammerdeiner scored twice and had an assist as McLean Youth Soccer Association topped Bethesda SC 3-0, with Breanna Mitchell adding the third goal. McLean also beat Maryland United 2-0 over the weekend.
Addison McCain and Kaylee Davis notched goals as FC Dallas edged Solar Chlesea SC 2-1. Chelsee Washington scored the lone goal for Solar.
U18
Penn Fusion opened the weekend with a 2-0 win against Continental FC Delco 2-0, with goals coming from Briona Davis and Courtney Stinger. A difficult match against Match Fit Academy saw Bridgette Andrzejewski score the winning goal for the New Jersey side in the game’s final ten minutes.
Georgia powerhouse Gwinnett Soccer Association won its two games over the weekend, blanking both opponents. First, goals from Dena Cisic and Sydney Shultis guided a 2-0 win, while a Sh’nia Gordon hat trick paved the way to a 5-0 defeat of Carolina Elite. Shultis and Ella Stevens also scored in the win over Carolina.
Kellie Cavanaugh, Samantha Dewey and Caroline Ratz all found the back of the net as the Indiana Fire Juniors topped CASL 3-1. Dewey also scored twice and Ratz tallied again as the Fire beat NC Fusion 3-0.
