ECNL Recap: Goal scorers galore
U14
FC Virginia nabbed a 5-1 win against regional rivals Maryland United, as Victoria Powell led the way with two goals and an assist in the win. Caitlyn Arroyo, Lauren Sproat and Zoe Tran also scored for FCV.
Goals from Haley Apple and Kayla Soto provided the decisive margin for FC Nova in its 2-1 win against FC Portland on Saturday. Abygail Keeley scored in Sunday’s 1-0 win against Crossfire Premier.
Real So Cal and San Diego Surf each scored a pair of goals to share the points in a 2-2 draw. Mia Fishel and Sydney Sparks accounted for San Diego’s goals, while Jennifer Trephan and Sofia Vinas scored for Real So Cal.
U15
Colorado Rush notched a 2-1 win against San Juan Soccer Club, with goals coming from Isabella McBride and Quaid Solarte for the winners. The Rush also picked up a point in a 2-2 draw on Sunday against Santa Rosa United, as Skylar Anderson and Sarah Payson both scored for the Rush.
Natalie Farrell, Megan Fisher and Kristina Toms accounted for the goals as McLean Youth Soccer saw off the challenge of NC Fusion, winning 3-0 on Sunday.
Two goals from Paige Franks and another tally from McKinley Burkett propelled Richmond United to a 3-0 win against NC Fusion.
U16
A five-goal offensive barrage from the Colorado Storm secured the full points in a 5-2 win against Santa Rosa United. Aimee Thorstensen scored a pair of goals, while Lexis Loera, Emily Langenderfer and Kaila Armstrong also contributed goals. Madelyn Batchelder and Daisy Keen supplied Santa Rosa’s goals. Thorstensen and Langenderfer also scored as the Strom won two games from two, beating San Juan Soccer Club 2-0 on Sunday.
San Diego Surf picked up a weekend win against Real So Cal, as Arlie Jones and Lucy Rickerson scored in a 2-0 win. Forward Yasmin Ahooja provided a pair of assist as well.
Ariel Diaz, Sophia Fondren and Maci Schoonover all scored as FC Dallas topped D’Feeters 3-0.
U17
Kelsey Vogel scored the only goal of the game as the Colorado Rush beat San Juan Soccer Club 1-0 on Saturday.
Two of the top Texas clubs squared off on Sunday as the Dallas Sting hosted the Dallas Texans. Honors were even in a 2-2 draw, as Lakyn Pope and Savanna Jones provided the offense for the Sting, while Stefani Grba and Haley Berg were both on the score sheet for the Texans.
A trio of goals from Nicole Leggio, Lexington Magliarditi and Ayana Robles helped Slammers FC edge California rivals Eagles SC, winning 3-2 on Sunday.

Challenge SC got goals from Amy Nguyen and Jessica Gerow scored a goal each as the Texas side beat Lonestar SC 2-1. Katy Johnson grabbed the lone tally for Lonestar.
Two goals from Raegan Padgett provided a platform for Albion Hurricane FC in its 3-1 win over the Texas Rush. Rebekah Jolly also tallied in the victory, while Hannah Dupin and Sloane Scharold assisted on a goal each.
U18
Patricia Fernandez, Katie Glenn, Marissa McMahand and Megan Welliver all scored as Lonestar SC cruised past Challenge SC by a 4-0 score line.
Sunny Dunphy and Hailey Rittershofer were on the score sheet for San Diego Surf as they picked up a 2-0 win against Real So Cal.
Strikers FC picked up the full points from their only game of the weekend, beating Arsenal FC 2-0 on Sunday. Defender Dana Jacobs and midfielder Darriell Franklin scored for Strikers.
Sporting Blue Valley picked up two wins from its two weekend encounters, beating Minnesota Thunder Academy 3-2 on Saturday, and following that up with a narrow 1-0 win against FC Wisconsin Eclipse.
