Girls Club Soccer Player of the Week
Another goal-filled weekend in the Girls Development Academy yielded several candidates for the latest Girls Club Soccer Player of the Week award.
Edging a talented field was Lumi Kostmayer, from Oakwood Soccer Club’s Under-16/17 team. The U.S. youth national team pool player and 2022 graduate scored four times in a 5-0 victory against FC Albertson Fury. She now has 22 goals in 19 games during the current Development Academy season, and is the No. 6 ranked player in the 2022 IMG Academy Top 150 player rankings.
Also considered for this week’s award was Leyah Hall-Robinson. From Washington Spirit’s Maryland Academy Under-18/19 team, Hall-Robinson’s hat trick led the way to a 3-0 victory against PA Classics. Former player of the week candidate Emily Colton was another, scoring both tallies for LA Galaxy San Diego U16-17 side, securing a 2-1 win over Real So Cal.
