There are few teams in the Girls Development Academy that have shown the capacity to slow down the Solar Soccer Club Under-16/17 side this season.

A big weekend from Alexis Missimo led Solar to a 9-1 win against the Houston Dash U16/17 team. She scored three goals and added four assists, earning the latest Girls Club Soccer Player of the Week award, presented by THINX.

Missimo is the leading scorer in the Girls DA, with 41 goals from 20 games played. Her Solar team remain undefeated, has a record of 25-0-1 on the year, with 146 goals and conceding only 24 so far this season. The Texas commit and U.S. youth national team player is far from the only dangerous attacking player on her team, as both Makhiya McDonald (29 goals in 24 games) and Trinity Byars (25 goals from 14 games) can create problems for opposing defenses. The pair also chipped in a pair of goals apiece in the win against the Dash.
