Girls Club Soccer Player of the Week
There’s been plenty of soccer over the past week, with the Girls Development Academy rolling right along, wrapping up yesterday in Colorado.
The ECNL had a full slate of games over the weekend as well, and it’s a player from that league that secured the latest Girls Club Soccer Player of the Week.
Forward Brianna Buels helped to propel her FC Pride Under-15 side to a pair of wins over the weekend. She scored both goals in a 2-1 win against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Saturday. Buels also scored the game winner in a 3-0 victory over Western NY Flash on Sunday, adding an assist as well. The three-goal performance earns her the latest Girls Club Soccer Player of the Week award, presented by THINX.
The 2023 graduate's enjoyed a strong spell of late for FC Pride, which is in first place in the Ohio Valley Conference in this age group. With a 10-1-0 record, her side's scored 37 goals and conceded just six in conference matches.
