Girls Club Soccer Player of the Week
A big two-goal effort led to one of the biggest upsets over the weekend in Girls Development Academy action.
Addie Whitehouse had two goals on Saturday, as Colorado Rush Under-15s beat Real Colorado by a 2-1 score on Saturday.
Real Colorado has conceded only 16 goals for the season and Whitehouse has scored four of those goals. The duo met in March where Whitehouse had two goals against them that ended in a 2-2 draw. This time she added two more goals for the win. Her speed and skill were tough for the Real defense to match.
Whitehouse, a 2023 graduate, was the leading scorer for her team and Colorado Rush club in the 2017/18 season playing up a year. She is currently ranked second on the team for the 2018/19 season, with 10 tallies in 25 games. Her two-goal effort lands her the latest Girls Club Soccer Player of the Week award, presented by THINX.
Others receiving consideration for the Player of the Week award include Tophat SC's Tori DellaPeruta, who scored five goals over the weekend, and NEFC U18/19 forward Catherine Barry, who scored 10 goals in one game.
