Chloe Fowler, Forward, Dallas Texans
Commitment: Stephen F. Austin
Class: 2014
A quick and aggressive player, Chloe Fowler discovered that Stephen F. Austin had everything she had in mind when looking for the next step of her playing career.
“The school matches my type of degree and I was looking for a very good soccer program,” Fowler told TopDrawerSoccer.com.
Boasting a 2013 overall record of 13-2-1, Stephen F. Austin has developed into a perennial power in the Southland Conference, and is once again in contention for another NCAA Tournament.
Fowler said that the team’s style of play appealed to her, and she also discovered that the school had plenty to offer her away from soccer.
“I like the traditions that are abundant at SFA and how pretty the piney woods are surrounding the college,” she said.
Jennifer Huckaby, Defender, FC Dallas
IMG Academy 150: #140
Commitment: Mississippi State
Class: 2015
While other players might head to programs with a loftier track record than Mississippi State, the opportunity to play for a team on the rise was something that appealed to Jennifer Huckaby.
“I decided to commit to Mississippi State because the program is moving in a positive direction and I would love to be a part of it,” she told TopDrawerSoccer.com.
A friendly coaching staff also attracted her interest, along with a positive experience with the players on the current team. The school’s location appealed to her as well.
“The campus is absolutely beautiful and I love the college town feel of Starkville,” she said.
