The grind of the Development Academy season can wear down even the best teams and clubs. Over the past weekend, two teams fell from the land of the unbeaten in league play as Lamorinda Soccer Club U17 and Solar Soccer Club U17 both suffered their first league losses of the season. The 0-1 loss to California Thorns dropped Lamorinda Soccer Club from the top spot in the Northwest Division.
There is still plenty of season ahead, but playoff spots are increasingly precious this season with the new format, and every result will be under a microscope in the coming months.
