Three teams debut in our rankings after finishing their respective spring leagues either on top or near the top of the standings.
South Shore Select Elite finished the fall MAPLE league’s U14 division in third place, but entered the Region I Champions League in its true age group this spring, where the side from Massachusetts edged North United FC Rush in the semifinals, then No. 8 HMMS Impact Eagle FC in the final. South Shore took the overall league crown and lands at No. 17.
Tennessee SC 03 Premier South, at No. 24, won its division of the Region III Premier League, then toppled No. 13 GSA Pre-ECNL to earn the league’s overall title and a berth to the USYS Region III Championships.
Omaha FC Elite had a good fall season where it won the WAGS Cup division over the likes of No. 15 Solar SC 03 and No. 13 HMMS Eagle FC as well as its division of the Midwest Regional League. But its promotion to the MRL’s top tier and its ultimate finish just behind No. 1 CUP Gold helped it to land at No. 25.

East Meadow cracks top five at U14
ECNL New England Division leader East Meadow Soccer Club has been creeping up within the top ten all season, but lands in the top five at No. 4 after a plethora of matches to finish the regular season. EMSC has been on a 7-0-2 run since our last update, conceding just two goals in the process. The team possesses a wealth of talent already recognized on a national stage: goalkeeper Stephanie Sparkowski, defenders Sydney Urban and Kiley Hamou, midfielders Alyssa Anton and Taylor Bryan were all invited to ODP National Camp in January, with Sparkowski attending the most recent camp for the U14 GNT.
On the heels of a 5-0-1 record since our last update, Eagles SC ticks up a notch to No. 8. The Eagles finished the regular season in the No. 2 spot in the Southwest Conference, 12 points ahead of third place Arsenal FC and just four points behind TeamRank No. 1 So Cal Blues.
San Diego Surf ECNL lost its first match of the season on April 30, leaving Concorde Fire as the top team in the league heading into the ECNL playoffs, and finishes the regular season as the No. 1 ranked team in the Grande Sports TeamRank Top 25. Concorde is just one of two teams that remains undefeated in ECNL play, No. 7 Mustang being the other. Concorde’s record of 19-0-5, seven wins more than Mustang’s 12, puts the Georgia side on top.
SC Del Sol enters the rankings for the first time this season at No. 24. Class of 2019 standout Kyla Ferry is one of the leading point-getters in the ECNL with 16 goals and 16 assists on the season, leading her team to an 8-3-1 record since the beginning of April and the fourth position in the tough Southwest Conference.
Next Week: U16, U17 and U18 Boys update
Grande Sports TeamRank Top 25 is the comprehensive team-ranking system devised by TopDrawerSoccer.com to provide an objective and common-sense approach to determining which elite youth soccer teams are the best in the nation.
The rankings, updated monthly, are primarily results-based, with a nod toward the league and championship competitions that emulate how excellence is determined in leading soccer nations around the world.
Tournaments are also included but at a reduced value due to the many mitigating factors involving such events, including attrition and guest players.
A final layer of executive evaluation is provided to account for variables that often impact results, thus ensuring that the monthly lists are not subjective, but are not purely mechanical.
