Midfielder Lily Yohannes became the third-youngest goal scorer in program history on Tuesday night, scoring in her full national team debut against Korea Republic.
The Springfield, Va. native, in camp for the second time with the full national team, entered as a sub in the 72nd minute with the United States leading by a 2-0 score. At just 16 years old, she became the eighth-youngest player all-time to take the field for the USWNT, and the youngest player since March 2001.
Under 10 minutes later, she fired home a goal, making a memorable moment all the special.
Beyond the goal, Yohannes looked comfortable with possession, showcasing a passing range that has earned her extensive run with Ajax.
