Every college recruiting process takes its own path and course, but it is one that is often dictated by a player’s club and high school.
Jeffrey Li, a midfielder for the Chicago Magic, has to work extra hard to try and figure out ways to attract attention, as he plays outside the Development Academy and in a high school that features just 120 players per class.
However, that hasn’t deterred the college hopeful.

The high school junior knows what he’s looking for when it comes to his ideal level of college soccer.
“At this point in my recruiting, I'm aiming for Division III because of the highly selective academic institutions and their generous financial aid packages, but Division I isn't entirely out of the picture,” Li told TopDrawerSoccer.com. “The reason for my preference is that I'm looking at some of the top liberal arts schools in the country.”
