Recruiting update: Best class of ’14
With the gray clouds in the sky and rain pending, Stanford head coach Paul Ratcliffe gleamed at the grassy green at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. The leader of the Pac 12 Champions was in town to look at his future recruits, as the U.S. U18 and U20 Women’s National were holding a combined camp at the USSF’s training center in Southern California.
Ratcliffe was all smiles from the play, as his future squad is shaping up to be a dandy. With both 2013 and 2014 recruits featuring in the games, the most successful coach in Stanford history had reason to be confident in continuing the excellent tradition he has built in Palo Alto.
The Cardinal’s six-player class for 2014 is already in the conversation for best in the nation, and easily at the top from schools on the West Coast. Which programs are also lining up talented classes in 2014? And will anyone catch Stanford?
