Regional Rankings Girls 2020 Spring update
The regional rankings for the girls class of 2020 were released on Thursday. The updated rankings for the best players in each section of the United States coincide with the IMG Academy Top 150 for this class, which was released on Monday. The Top 150 players is a national list, which is updated four times were year.

For the girls class of 2020, there was plenty of change among the national list, which shaped the regional rankings. Concorde Fire’s Astrid Wheeler took over the No. 2 spot in the National Rankings, which helped promote her to the No. 1 spot in the South Atlantic region. The defender was recognized as one of the best players from the recent U.S. U17 Women’s triumph in Italy. Katherine Groff also made a big jump up the rankings in this update. Groff was No. 23 in the winter update, but she is No. 4 in this update after her play at the youth national team level. The CASL defender looks like she is one to watch in this class.
Eclipse Select’s Ainsley Ahmadian took over the top spot in the Midwest Region with this update. Ahmadian was recently called into the U.S. U17 Women’s National Team camp in Florida. She is one of 20 players ranked in that region. Kaitlyn MacBean and Porter List lso made big jumps up the rankings in the Midwest Region.
Smith Hunter took over the top spot in the Pacific Northwest with this update. Hunter has been steady climbing the regional and national rankings with each update as her talent is seen on a bigger stage .The Seattle Reign defender has been terrific in 2017 and one of the top players in the nation in the 2020 class.

Trinity Rodman jumped past club teammate Ryan Campbell and snagged the top spot in the Southern California regional rankings for the class of 2020. Rodman, the daughter of former NBA star Dennis Rodman, was a standout for the U.S. U16 GNT during the trip to Belgium this past week. The target forward is one of the best in her age group.
The Spring Updates to the IMG Academy Top 150 players continues on Monday with a first look at the Boys Class of 2021. The girls top 150 for the 2021 will be unveiled the following week.
