TDS Atlanta Combine Boys Best XI
The 2014 TDS Atlanta Combine featured players from many of the region’s best clubs, including Concorde Fire, East Ridge FC, United Futbol Academy, and Vestavia Hills SC. Coaches from South Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Mercer, among other D3 and NAIA schools were on hand to scout potential recruits.

TDS Atlanta Combine Boys Best XI
Hein Htet MacArthur – Concorde Fire – Goalkeeper (2016) – MacArthur has good footwork for a keeper his size. Good wingspan and made good decisions on the day of when to come out.
Jacob Friedman – Vestavia Hills SC – Defender (2016) – Strong in the air and in the tackle, Friedman communicates well from the back and hits a good long driven ball.
Isael Gutierrez – East Ridge FC – Defender (2015) – Very technical defender who is smooth on the ball. Does well in tight situations under pressure, and has a great change of pace. Defended 1 v 1 situations well, and put in good crosses when he got forward.
Grant DuPertuis – Concorde Fire – Defender (2015) – Good size and good composure on the ball makes for an excellent combination in a defender. Can play outside back or center back, and is solid in the air.
Hunter Holstad – Vestavia Hills SC – Defender (2016) – Holstad’s strong first touch gets him ready to play immediately. Dynamic movements in the full field game allowed him to get forward into the attack. A very coachable defender who has a great future ahead of him in college.
Shakeem Adams – Tennessee Soccer Club – Midfielder (2016) – Very explosive player, and is solid 1 v 1. Excels at taking players on and moving the ball in the buildup. Confident player.
Kobe Perez – East Ridge FC – Midfielder (2015) – Perez’s ability to hit balls with power and placement in front of goal was very noticeable. First touch is excellent, and he identifies a third man run well. Good in small spaces, but really excelled once the full field games began.
Conner Deck – Tennessee Rush – Midfielder (2017) - Puts good weight on passes, and excels at finishing for a midfielder. Comfortable on the ball has an extremely quick first 5 yards.
Garrett Shan – United Futbol Academy – Forward (2015) – Athletically very good. Solid 1 v 1, and likes to take players on.
Christian Licea – FC Tampa – Forward/Winger (2018) – Licea was one of the youngest players at the combine, but showed an excellent understanding for the game. Knows when to keep it simple, and when to take on defenders. Puts in good crosses, and scored some excellent goals on the day.
Ben Kehoe – Vestavia Hills SC – Forward (2016) – Provides good link up play with strikers and midfielders, and strikes the ball cleanly. Natural finisher who connected well in the buildup on the day.
