TDS/SYL Launch Regional ODP Scouting Series
The Super Y League has announced the next evolution of its elite player identification program, resulting in the formation of the Regional Scouting Series. Designed to ensure the Super Y League’s most talented players have the opportunity to perform in front of top college coaches, the Regional Scouting Series is being done in conjunction with TopDrawerSoccer Combines, the leader in collegiate exposure events.
Attending players ages U13-U16 will have the opportunity to train and interact with top coaches from throughout their regions and take part in a TopDrawerSoccer College Combine as part of the weekend’s event.
“We are proud to announce our new elite player programming with the Super Y League Regional Scouting Series. This is an exciting new venture that will provide a unique player scouting and identification platform to the Super Y League’s top performers in centralized and convenient locations.” USL Director of U20 and Youth League Development Gordon Bengtson said. “Our reinvented model will also deliver educational programming for players and parents off the field which supports the Super Y League’s holistic approach to player development.
Hosted at centrally located sites throughout the country, the events will features coaches from all divisions of the NCAA and NAIA, and will expose the invited players and their parents to specialized training in diet, nutrition, college recruiting, mental conditioning and more.
“We are incredibly excited to expand and deepen our relationship with a top-notch organization like the Super Y League,” said TopDrawerSoccer COO Max Boigon. “Our goal, to grow and improve college and youth soccer, aligns perfectly with Super Y League’s mission of developing players holistically, and allows us to assist more players in fulfilling their dreams of playing collegiate soccer.”
Those Super Y League players who excel at the Regional Scouting Series events or during the North American Finals will be brought in to the Super Y League’s national pool. From there, selected players will have the opportunity to take part in the USL Experience. The USL Experience will provide an unprecedented look into professional American soccer and is designed for the nation’s elite players who dream of advancing through the professional player pathway.
Region 1: New England, North Atlantic & Mid Atlantic - Mercer County Park, Trenton, N.J.
Region 2: Midwest - The Plex, Fort Wayne, Indiana
Region 3: South Atlantic, Southeast - Southside Sports Complex, Lake City, Fla.
TopDrawerSoccer will track and promote nominations for the SYL Regional Scouting Series, and each event will receive the quality coverage TopDrawerSoccer has become known for.
National partners Positive Coaching Alliance, NSCAA and ACES Nation will also utilize the new Super Y League Regional Scouting Series as key partnership activation events and provide the programming to parents and players off the field.
