U-17 WNT Starts New Cycle at OTC
U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team head coach B.J. Snow has called up 30 players to the first training camp of the new cycle as this age group begins the long road to qualifying for the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup that will be held in Jordan.
The age cut-off for the next U-17 Women’s World Cup is for players born on or after Jan. 1, 1999, and the majority of the players in this camp come from that birth year.
The camp will run from June 15-22 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California, and will feature a 90-minute scrimmage on June 17 at 4 p.m. PT. Two more scrimmages will be held on June 21 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. PT.
