U15 GNT campers prepare for LMU
February 19, 2010
The U.S. U15 Girls National Team camp will wind down this week but not before encountering one final stiff test from some outside competition.
Mike Dickey’s group will get a look at a mature opposition when they take on Loyola Marymount tonight at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.
“We’ve had them in situations (tactically) they aren’t particularly used to, particularly at home with their club teams, but that’s what you want,” Dickey said. “We’ll do a lot of work defensively and we’ve seen some good things.”

The West Coast Conference team will challenge the U15s in many facets and continue what has been a steep week of learning for the squad. Having already played against a youth boys team Wednesday and undergone the daily training schedule that comes with these gatherings, this will be another step in the direction Dickey is trying to move the team. “We’ve had them in situations (tactically) they aren’t particularly used to, particularly at home with their club teams, but that’s what you want,” Dickey said. “We’ll do a lot of work defensively and we’ve seen some good things.”
