The U.S. U14 Boys National Team took on its first outside opponent with a pair of scrimmages on Tuesday night at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

In the opener, half of the U14 squad met the Chivas USA U15 team. Playing for the U.S. side in this match were: Mukwelle Akale, Marc Calderon, David Chavez, Jeremy Colvin, Malcolm Dixon, Stephen Elias, Cameron Keys, Alexander Knox, Cameron Lindley, James Marcinkowski, Jean Orvil Jr., Erik Pritschau, Christian Pulisic, Martin Salas, Peter Schropp, Shannon Seymour, Max Stiegwardt, Benjamin Swanson and Sean Wilson.

Swanson scored the match’s only goal on an assist from Lindley and the U.S. took the 1-0 victory.

In the nightcap, the U14 group played U15 Arsenal FC featuring a roster that included: Billy Abdallah, Guillermo Bermudez, Chester Castellaw, Coy Craft, Collin Fernandez, Andre Garcia, Holden Hmiel, Malcolm Jones, Christian Lucatero, Kostandin Moni, Caleb Moore, Pablo Pelaez, Amirgy Pineda, Christian Ramirez, Tommy Redding, Parker Siegfried, Alejandro Vergara, David Villegas and Justin Vom Steeg.

The match ended in a 2-2 tie with Bermudez and Garcia netting goals for the U.S. side.

This week’s training camp will continue with scrimmages against the LA Galaxy and Cosmos West Academy on Thursday.
