#1 Rangers Put 3 on Capital One Ac. 1st Team
#1 Rangers Place Three on Capital One Academic All-District First Team
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.: #1 Regis University men's soccer placed three on the Capital One Academic All-District First Team on Thursday. Junior Garrett Seitz and sophomores Logan Miller and Adam Tormoehlen each were given the honor.
Seitz, while earning a degree in Biological and Biomedical Sciences, has maintained a 3.91 GPA. The Broomfield, Colo. native has started in 14 contests throughout the 2012 season. He has put one goal in while assisted on one other for the Rangers. He has helped the Rangers to a 0.75 goals against average as a defender.
Miller earned a 3.50 GPA after his freshman year, and is undecided. This season, the midfielder ties for second on the team with nine goals, and has put up three assists as well for 21 points. He has put through 5-of-7 penalty kick attempts for Regis. The native of Tomball, Texas was recently named All-RMAC First Team.
Tormoehlen, originally from Highlands Ranch, Colo., has earned a 3.93 GPA while studying in Health Professions. The forward has amassed six goals and five assists through the 2012 season. He has just earned the RMAC Summit Award for the highest GPA participating the RMAC Championship and was named RMAC All-Academic First Team this season as well.
As the 2012 RMAC Champions, the Rangers will host the RMAC Tournament on Friday, November 2 at 2:30 PM. Sunday will be hosted by the highest remaining seed after Friday's matches.
