Butler

Commitments: Joey Bastian, Eli Appleby, Bennett Kim, Eric Leonard

Butler is bringing a strong class of recruits for 2014 with the focus on keeping talent in the state. Three of the four players hail from Indiana with Appleby (Michigan) as the exception. The quartet makes up the good building block of the class, but there is still a possibility the Bulldogs could be adding more through international recruits, which was highly successful for the program in 2013 with David Goldsmith’s arrival.

Creighton

Commitments: Ricardo Lopez-Espin, Lucas Stauffer

The Creighton class may look small at this point, but there is still plenty of reason to be excited. Lopez-Espin was one of the few club players to receive an invite to the recent U20 Men’s National Team camp in Florida. He is a target forward with good skill and should fit in immediately with the Jays. Stauffer graduated from high school in 2013 and took a year off to try his luck in Europe. He is a midfielder with really good technical ability.

DePaul

Commitments: Caleb Pothast, Austin Harrell, George Moushi

DePaul picked up a local commit in Caleb Pothast who plays his club ball for Sockers FC. The defender is tied for leading scoring honors on the team this season with three goals in 11 games. Harrell is a center midfielder from the successful CUP U18 Gold squad that finished as the national finalist in 2013. Moushi is also a midfielder. He plays his club ball with Team Evanston.
