It’s MLS Draft week here on TopDrawerSoccer.com, as the stars of college soccer aim to take their talents to the pro ranks here in the United States.
As the buildup to the draft continues, TDS continues to take a position-by-position look at the best players available. Below is a ranking of the top midfielders available, with a scouting report for the top 15.
1. Cristian Roldan, Washington
Height: 5-8 | Weight: -- | Career stats: 41 games, 10 goals, 7 assists
The jewel of the Pacific Northwest signed a Generation adidas deal and then supposedly stole the show at the Combine, which is fitting given the level of scouting for most MLS teams. Roldan is a tenacious player that balances his determination with a special blend of skill and tactical nuance. Roldan is a top pick in this draft and could fill a number of needs immediately for an MLS squad.
