2017 MLS Draft: Big Board v 1.0
The 2017 MLS Draft is scheduled to take place in a little more than a few weeks, with pro soccer hopefuls of hearing their named called in Los Angeles.
Plenty will be sorted between now and then, including homegrown signings, Generation adidas classes and combine additions. This year's crop is similar to the senior classes in recent memory; a handful of players that can make an immediate impact, and 10-15 players that might stick on MLS rosters. The rest are likely to head to USL to find more opportunities of playing time.
Below is the first version of the TopDrawerSoccer.com Big Board, ranking the top pro prospects for teh 2017 draft. Included in this batch are projected Generation adidas signings (*) and likely homegrown signings (^). Based off scouting games, conversations with scouts and other observers, the big board aims to project each player's chance of sticking at the next level. Future updates will remove and add players as draft day approaches after homegrown and GA signings are finalized.
