St. Francis Brooklyn placed three players on NCAA Division All-Northeast Regional teams, it was announced today by the NSCAA. Seniors Vincent Bezecourt and Cyril Coisne were selected to the First Team and Jack Binks earned Third Team honors. "I am very proud of Vincent, Cyril and Jack," said Terriers' head coach Tom Giovatto. "All three worked extremely hard to achieve this great honor and it is well deserved." Bezecourt, a midfielder, finished the season with a team-high seven goals, which was tied for third in the conference. He was also fourth in the NEC with 17 points. The senior had his share of heroics this season scoring two game winners in overtime against Lafayette and Central Connecticut State University. Last season, the Aire l'Adour native was named to the NEC's Second Team. "It's great to be named to the All-Region Team," Bezecourt said. "It's a big personal achievement and a reward for all of the work I put in this past season. The Northeast region has a lot of good players so being part of the First Team is even greater honor. Nothing would have been possible without the help of my coaches, trainers and teammates, so I want to thank them for all the support they gave me during my stay at St.Francis. I'm glad to end my college career with this reward." Coisne was as a key member of the Terriers backline in front of Binks and was one of the reasons why the Terriers outscored their opponents 30-7 during the regular season. Along with his defensive skill, the Lille, France native mastered the penalty kick. He scored the game winning goal in the 47th minute against Rhode Island and then a few days later won game on another pk. He added another goal from the penalty dot against Sacred Heart during conference play. "It's a great pleasure to be rewarded individually because it means that all the hard work I put in for the last four years paid off," said Coisne. "There are many good players in the northeast region, so it's an honor to be chosen among them, especially the First Team. However, none of it would have been possible without my teammates, so I want to thank them and the staff for a great year." Binks has been a key to the Terriers success the past three seasons. His 28 career shutouts with the Terriers is second on the all-time list. His 11 blank sheets this season tied for the Terriers' single-season record. He recorded 33 career shutouts, which was second among active Division I goalkeepers. This season, the red-shirt senior was third in the NCAA with a .382 goals against average. The Terriers led the nation with a .38 GAA and .71 shutout percentage heading into the postseason.
