Senior Goalkeeper Ellen Augsburger Named RMAC Defensive Player of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.: Regis women's soccer earned their first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conferene Defensive Player of the Week Accolades today after senior goalkeeper put in some impressive work over the last weekend, helping the Rangers go 2-0.
Augsburger put in 13 saves over the weekend and helped RU to two shutouts, first 2-0 against Colorado St.-Pueblo and then 3-0 against New Mexico Highlands. The senior did not allow one goal throughout the two matches, giving herself a 1.000 save percentage.
With the two wins, the Rangers earned a bid into the RMAC Tournament. They will play their first match of the tournament tomorrow, Nov. 6 at Highlands at 6:00 p.m.
