RIVERDALE, NEW YORK ---Sophomore forward Gabriel Bagot, the reighning Northeast Conference Player of the Week, scored a pair of late goals, as St. Francis (N.Y.) defeated the Manhattan College Jaspers in come-from-behind fashion, 2-1, on Friday afternoon in a non-conference tilt at Gaelic Park.

"I'm proud of my guys for fighting back and not quitting," head coach Tom Giovatto explained.  "Gabbie (Bagot) and Adam (Maabdi) were excellent and carried us this afternoon.  We played great at times but we need to be more consistent."
The Terriers (3-2-1, 0-0 NEC) battled back to score both goals in the final 15 minutes of regulation after the Jaspers took the lead in the 55th minute after a corner-kick. Carlo Giachino fed Daniel Festa for his first tally of the season after goalkeeper Tyler Clarhaut misplayed a high attempt off his arm.
But after the tally, the visitors pressed the Jaspers in the offensive zone and continued to pepper Jaspers' netminder George Ellis before finally getting on the board.

St. Francis tied the game in the 75th minute as Bagot scored his first of the contest off a terrific 20-yard free-kick into the box from senior Jonas Pantelidis.

The Jaspers (0-5) tried to retake the lead moments later, but a spectacular save by Clarhaut on Manhattan striker Jake Scavetta kept the game deadlocked. After the Terriers cleared the zone, once again Bagot took over and nailed his second goal of the contest from 20 yards out after a feed from sophomore James Caicedo with just 3:45 remaining in the contest. Junior Adam Maabdi initiated the play with a terrific surge up the field, and found Caicedo on the left wing.
"I wasn't expecting the ball as I though it was going to Robbie Weir," said Bagot. "Fortunately I was able to gather the ball and put it over the keeper who was coming out of the net."

Clarhaut finished the game with five saves for his third win of the season.  Maabdi also had a great game on the pitch with a team-high three shots on goal and was helpful on both Terrier goals.  He repeatedly beat defenders to set-up scoring opportunities for his teammates.
Both squads finished with six shots on goal, but the Terriers held the overall edge in shots, 20-15 and also owned the corner kick attempts at 9-5.

St. Francis will return home on Wednesday evening to take on NJIT at Aviator Complex at 7 p.m.
