Battlers Land Three On All-GMAC Team
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Three freshman from the Alderson Broaddus men's soccer team earned second-team All-G-MAC honors while five Battlers were named to the All-Freshman team.
Forwards Deshawn Parker and Marco Profumo as well as keeper Ricard Lao were all honored with second-team selections.
Parker scored a team-leading eight goals and five assists to share the team lead with 21 points. He put 18 shots on goal and connected on his one penalty kick opportunity.
Profumo led the G-MAC with nine assists while also picking up six goals to for 21 points. Profumo also picked up a team-high three game-winning goals.
Lao started all 19 games between the pipes for the Battlers. He made 88 saves posting a .752 save percentage and a 1.52 goals against average. He also recorded five shutouts.
