Blugolds Shutout by Titans in Oshkosh
OSHKOSH, Wis. (Blugolds.com) — The UW-Eau Claire women's soccer team traveled to UW-Oshkosh to take on the Titans in a WIAC matchup. The Titans got the lone goal of the game as the Blugolds fell 1-0 on the road.
Robyn Elliot scored in the 51st minute and the Titans (8-5-1, 5-1-0) were able to hold off the Blugolds (4-5-3, 1-3-1) the rest of the way.
It was the fourth time this year the Blugolds were held scoreless in a game. The Titans outshot the Blugolds 19-8 and there was a yellow card in the game, handed out in the second half to UW-Oshkosh.
Nina Behrenbrinker (Sr.-St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall) made four saves on five shots in goal for the Blugolds.
UW-Eau Claire will travel to Luther (Iowa) on Wednesday for their fifth-straight road contest. The game is set to start at 7 p.m. They will return home Saturday, Oct. 19 to take on UW-Platteville. The following day they will host St. Thomas (Minn.).
