Boldt And Spivack Grab Patriot League Weekly
WEST POINT, N.Y. – Army junior goalkeeper Winston Boldt and freshman forward Ethan Spivack were each honored with Patriot League weekly awards for the week ending Sept. 8. Boldt was named the league’s Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time this season, while Spivack was recognized as the Rookie of the Week for the first time.
Boldt made four saves in Army’s 2-0 win over Manhattan on Monday, Sept. 2, before posting four stops in the Black Knights’ 1-0 win over service academy rival Air Force on Saturday, Sept. 7. Boldt, who now has three clean sheets on the season, has played an important role in Army’s first 3-0 start since 2007.
Spivack scored his first career goal in the 72nd minute as the game winner at Air Force on Saturday. The victory over the Falcons marked Army’s first win in Colorado Springs since 1975.
The Black Knights are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 11, when they return home to face Marist at 7 p.m.
