Bryant women announce spring schedule
March 27, 2012
Coming off a record-setting season in victories while finishing the year with a .500 winning percentage for the first time since joining Division I, head coach Chris Flint has announced the Bryant University women's soccer team's 2012 spring schedule.
The six-game schedule will feature four matches that will be played within the friendly confines of the Bryant Track and Turf Complex, as the Bulldogs will welcome former Northeast-10 (DII) rival UMass Lowell, Ivy League competitor Harvard, in-state foe Rhode Island and the Patriot League's Holy Cross to campus over the course of March and April.
Flint has also scheduled two away bouts against another nearby rival in Providence College, as well as a trip to America East champion and NCAA Second Round participant Boston University to wrap up the spring slate.
Bryant will start off the spring with a challenging doubleheader at home on March 25. The Bulldogs will first battle the UMass Lowell River Hawks before taking on the Crimson later in the evening. Both games will be played at the Track and Turf Complex. Six days later, the Bulldogs welcome the URI Rams for a 6:30 p.m. tilt at the Track and Turf Complex on March 31.
The Bulldogs will then travel to Providence for a bout with the Friars on April 14. Three days later, Bryant will complete its home portion of the spring schedule when it faces the Crusaders on April 17 at the Track and Turf Complex. Finally, the Bulldogs will conclude the spring slate with a showdown at Boston University on April 22.
