Bulldogs Tie in Double Overtime Thriller
Despite giving up a goal in the 13th minute, the Fresno State women's soccer team rallied at the end of regulation to send the game into two overtimes before tying Colorado College (1-1) Friday afternoon on the road. Freshman Katie DeVaultfinished with a career-high 10 saves.
The first goal of the game came after Brittney Lyman tapped in a shot on a cross from Lauren Digregorio to give the Tigers the 1-0 lead in the first half, a lead they would hold onto through nearly the entire match.
With under three minutes to play in regulation, freshman Jaycee Bingham headed in a pass from sophomore Lauren Lindstrom. It was the Clovis East High School alums' third goal of the season and Lindstrom's second assist.
Five Bulldogs put in a full 110 minutes on the pitch including DeVault.
Fresno State (3-3-2) heads to the Air Force Academy for its final match in Colorado on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 12:30 p.m. It has been 15 years since the programs last met. The Bulldogs own the series 1-0.
