Cahill Named NSCAA Scholar All-American
Cahill Named to NSCAA Scholar All-America Second Team
SALISBURY, Md.: Junior defender Alison Cahill was named to the NSCAA Women's Soccer Scholar All-America Second Team recently.
Cahill owns a 3.70 grade point average while earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology. The native of Boise, Idaho received RMAC All-Academic First Team honors during the 2012 season.
On the match pitch, she was named RMACs Defender of the Year for her second consecutive season after starting in all 21 matches for the Rangers. She helped the team to a 1.80 goals against average while also being named to the All-RMAC First Team, RMAC All-Tournament team, Daktronics All-America Honorable Mention and NSCAA All-South Central Region First Team and NSCAA All-America Third Team.
The Rangers finished 13-6-2 overall and 10-2-2 in the RMAC. They made their fifth straight appearance in the NCAA tournament, falling in the first round, 1-0 to Colorado School of Mines in Dallas, Texas.
