Cincinnati Loses to Tulsa, 2-1
Oct. 12, 2014
The University of Cincinnati women’s soccer team generated chances on the road against Tulsa, but UC only generated one goal as they fell 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Tulsa (8-6-2, 2-3-1 American) garnered an early lead within the first 10 minutes, but the Bearcats (8-5-2, 2-3-0 American) responded in the 15th minute on a goal from junior Laura Rose.
Despite the shots nearly being equal between the two conference foes (UC led 14-12), Cincinnati had a distinct advantage in shots on goal having eight to the Golden Hurricane’s four. The Bearcats also provided a ton of pressure on set pieces with UC taking 14 corner kicks.

TULSA – Rachel Thun (Christina Holmes), 7th
Holmes bent in a corner kick that landed inside the 18-yard box. Thun corralled the loose ball and tapped it in from two yards out. TULSA 1, CIN 0
