MEN’S SOCCER EARNS FIRST VICTORY OF THE SEASON
HARRISONBURG, Va. – The University of Dayton men’s soccer team squared off against James Madison in the final game of the JMU Tournament Sunday and picked up its first win of the season.
KEY STATS
The Flyers improve their record to 1-1 on the season while James Madison falls to 0-1-1.
In the first half, Dayton totaled seven shots, including five on goal while James Madison had three shots, none on goal.
Dayton out-shot the Dukes 15-9 in the contest and put six on target.
The Flyers committed more fouls (8-5), but also had more corner kicks (6-2).
Junior goalkeeper Justin Saliba had four saves in the contest.

Dayton will host Cleveland State at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2 for the Flyers’ home opener at Baujan field.
